Arrival/Departure
Arrival can be any time after 5pm, please let me know on 07769 907180 what time you estimate arriving. Please vacate your room by 10.30am.
Breakfast
Weekdays 7.30am – 9.00am Weekends 8am – 9.30am
Breakfast is an important part of the day and we aim to
make it Special at the Old Rectory. Our eggs are laid
by our little brood of 9 hens, who happily roam around
the garden and eat all our grass, they are fed on organic
pellets and cut maize along with all our vegetable peelings,
left over rice and pasta and wholegrain bread. The eggs
we serve are rarely more than a day old. All produce
is sourced locally and cooked freshly for each individual
guest in our Cast Iron Aga. Fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt
and juices are available for you to help yourself and
a menu of hot breakfast items is offered at Breakfast
time. (No decisions have to be made the night before.)
We have a lovely bright breakfast room decorated in French Blue
with a large solid oak table for everyone to chat. However
if you would like to have a table on your own we can
also accommodate guests in the conservatory at another
French Oak Table. Dietary needs are catered for with
notice. We always have vegetarian options and have catered
for Gluten Free and Vegan guests. I hold a Public Hygiene
Certificate.
Early lights breakfasts are available for early birds departing
before 7.30am.
Local Pubs and Restaurants
We can direct you to many of the local pubs which our guests have tried and tested. Two in particular are favourites of our guests. The first because it is within walking distance and sells reasonably priced pub meals in contemporary surroundings and the Second because it serves possibly the best Food in Devon and has been voted into the top 50 restaurants in the Country – The Jack in the Green is a 5 minute car ride away.
If you would like transport to and from a restaurant we are happy to arrange it.
Taxi

Airport Transfers
We offer transfer to the airport for early flights. There will be a service charge before 6.30am.
Car Parking
We offer off road parking in our grounds. Cars are parked at their own risk.
Luggage
Help is at hand with your luggage up the stairs.
