Important Information

Confirmation Deposit

Please confirm your reservation with a credit card or cheque. A payment of 50% of one nights stay is required on booking to hold the room. The balance is due on departure. Credit cards, cheques and cash are accepted. Please make cheques payable to ‘The Old Rectory’.

Cancellation Policy

If we are informed of cancellation by 5pm, 2 days prior to date of arrival there will be no payment due.

Fire Safety

Our new fire alarm system complies with the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order of 2005, which all B&B owners must adhere to.

Pets

Oscar our young Golden Retriever doesn’t like sharing his house with other 4 legged friends, unless they are working.

Smoking

We have a no smoking policy in the house; however you are welcome to smoke at a designated place in the garden.

Children

We are happy to welcome children. We have 5 grown children of our own, but there are a few things to be aware of. We have an uncovered pond in the garden. There are fragile objects around the house. We have a small travel cot but do not provide a high chair. Our dog is a fully grown Golden Retriever who loves to play but can be a bit strong for a young child. The walls are sound proofed but the floorboards aren’t. Children should be supervised on the stairs, due to the variety of levels in this characterful house.
